We are pleased to annouce that the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open is currently in the process of achieving GEO (Golf Environment Organization) certification for sustainability. This award represents a further step in our efforts to promote environmentally conscious and sustainable golf. The Golfpark Holzhäusern itself has already been GEO certified since 2022. The certification of the international LET tournament is additional.
The GEO certificate is an internationally acknowledged award that honors golf clubs and golf events for their commitment to environmental protection, conservation and social responsibility. To receive it, strict standards regarding environmental practices, resource management and community engagement must be met.
We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our tournament. This includes measures such as reducing waste and energy consumption, promoting biodiversity on the golf course and supporting local community projects (details of which are continuously posted on our social media channels).
As a visitor to the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, you are therefore not only supporting the professional golfers of the LET, but also indirectly the preservation of nature. You can also make an active contribution by, for example, traveling to the event by public transportation and using only reusable bottles that can be refilled at various water dispensers to reduce waste on the grounds.
